Full Time Pharmacy Technician.

We are seeking a Pharmacy Technician to became a part of our team! You will assist in processing and filling prescriptions. You will undertake other tasks under the direction of a pharmacist to provide excellent customer service and ensure the pharmacy runs smoothly. As a pharmacy technician you must be detail-oriented and reliable since the job has high responsibility. You must possess excellent communication skills as well as experienced in using computers.

Responsibilities:

• Process prescriptions electronically and ensure all information is complete and accurate

• Under supervision of Pharmacist, pulls medications, counts, and fills prescriptions manually
• Answering incoming calls and fielding patient questions
• Organizes medications for pharmacist to dispense by reading medication orders and prescriptions, preparing labels, calculating quantities.
• Maintains pharmacy inventory by checking pharmaceutical stock to determine inventory level, anticipating needed medications and supplies
• Retrieves discontinued or expired medications from stock; discards or returns to stock as appropriate; completes corresponding documentation
• Maintains a safe and clean pharmacy by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
• Organizes medications for pharmacist to dispense by reading medication orders and prescriptions, preparing labels, calculating quantities
• Maintains records by filing prescriptions
• Previous pharmacy experience preferred

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.00 - $21.00 per hour
